Description
Is your favourite garment in need of some care and attention? Stains, moth holes and worn patches can all be transformed through our visible mending workshop. Clothing can also be personalised with beautiful fabric and embroidery.
During this hand-sewing visible mending workshop, you will bring along a garment in need of repair or embellishment. With guidance from Mattie, a suitable mend or creative design will be explored and started. Inspiration will be provided through a collection of samples and books.
Each workshop will be shaped by the participants, allowing new skills, techniques and ideas to be shared and developed. Whether a simple repair or a decorative transformation is desired, individual projects will be supported at every stage.
All materials will be provided, although personal supplies are welcome. Please remember to bring your own garment to work on.
Workshop Information
Classes are held in our small workshop space at the back of the shop, with a maximum of five participants per session. This ensures that everyone receives personal guidance and support.
Booking and Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a booked class, every effort will be made to transfer your booking to another session. However, an alternative date cannot always be guaranteed.
For cancellations made less than 48 hours before the workshop, an exchange will only be offered if your space can be filled. These arrangements are intended to be fair to everyone, and respectful communication is expected from all participants.
